Like many young musicians, 25 year old Taylor Hill moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of becoming a successful recording artist.
So far, so familiar, but unlike many artists attracted to the bright lights of the big city, Taylor’s definition of success is not a conventional one. He believes strongly that you don’t need to – and shouldn’t - change who you are to fit in with a preconceived notion of what the market wants or how you’re supposed to behave.
For Taylor, success comes from staying true to himself and his beliefs and helping other artists who have set out on their own paths.
Inspired by his icon Michael Jackson, Taylor grew up in a musical household where his mother and grandmother shelved their own career aspirations to raise him and their deferred dreams (and struggles) have shaped his musical creativity and outlook on life.
“I grew up glued to the screen watching Michael Jackson sing and dance his heart out. The one thing I really learned, was his heart for making the world a better place. He led the world through song. And that is what I am here to do.”
